- What is Kintetsu Friendly Hostel like?
- Kintetsu Friendly Hostel provides affordable lodging (no meals) with a friendly welcome for international guests. You can book a bed in a dormitory room to share with other guests or an entire 4-bed room to share only with your family when traveling together.
The hostel is housed in a new building that will be opened in Autumn 2016, located in Tennoji Park in an urban setting.
- What does "Kintetsu" in the name mean?
- Kintetsu is the name of the largest private railroad company in Japan, whose rail network stretches from the Kansai Area to the Chubu Area. As indicated by the name, the hostel is run by the Kintetsu Group.
Using Kintetsu trains, you can go to Namba, Nippombashi, Nara, Kyoto, Nagoya as well as the Ise-Shima area, where the 42nd G7 summit was held. Take a convenient ride on the Kintetsu trains.
- I am unfamiliar with the transportation system. How can I get to the hostel?
- Kintetsu Friendly Hostel is conveniently located in Tennoji Park, which is directly connected by an underground mall to a transportation hub with several stations including Tennoji Station on the JR Line, Tennoji Station on the Osaka Subway Line, and Osaka-Abenobashi Station on the Kintetsu Line. Get off at one of these stations and walk toward Tennoji Park (Ten-Shiba).

- What is a dormitory?
- A dormitory is a room with bunk beds that guests share with other guests from various countries. You can book a bed in a dormitory. Each bed has curtains for privacy.
- Do you accept Japanese guests?
- Of course, Japanese guests are also welcome. We ask all our guests to understand what a hostel is like so that they can enjoy staying here.
- What languages do your staff speak?
- The hostel staff speak Japanese and English.
- Can I stay at the hostel even if I speak neither Japanese nor English?
- There is no problem at all. We understand our guests speak many different languages and we can communicate by gestures.
